The conference date has changed. It will now be held on 7th and 8th December 2020.
We have been considering the implications of the current COVID-19 spread and travel restrictions in place by both organisations and the British government. The timing of the original dates (11th and 12th June 2020) left the event particularly vulnerable to a last-minute cancellation. We decided to take a proactive step, instead of a last-minute reactive one, and postpone the event.
ContentEd has a strong culture of supporting health and wellbeing amongst our own team. We believe – and we practice from the principle – that taking care of health and wellbeing first and foremost creates the clearing for our finest work. We extend this to the wider content strategy community, and put the health and wellbeing of our speakers and our delegates ahead of our eagerness to run this event.
I have already booked my tickets and now can’t attend the new dates
Anyone who has already booked prior to this announcement (25th March 2020) will automatically have their place transferred to 7th and 8th December. However, if the new dates are now not feasible for you, we will honour a full refund of your place. Alternatively, you may transfer your place to a colleague without an admin fee.
Will the programme remain the same?
We recognise that some of our speakers may also be unable to attend the new dates. We are in touch with each of them to reschedule. At this time, we’ve received a very positive response. There may be some changes to the programme as a consequence but we currently expect these to be minimal.
We had a lot of excellent session proposals that we couldn’t include on the programme previously, so we have plenty of options to still create an equally outstanding line-up.
New webinar series
To make sure our delegates and those who can’t attend in person in December still get their content strategy fix, we’re launching a bonus fortnightly webinar series. This will run from April 2020 until the conference in December. Every other week you’ll hear from leading voices in the sector and enhance your own learning well before the conference. This is available as part of the ticket price for all registered delegates – so register now as not to miss out! For those who can’t attend the conference, you’ll also be able to buy a pass just for the webinar series.
New Awards deadline
With a change in date for the conference comes a change in date for our awards deadline. We will be taking applications until 23:59 on 25th September. Payment for registering will be due on Friday 6th November.
What if COVID-19 is still an issue in December?
We don’t expect this to be the case. If this does happen, we will consider making the event a virtual event instead of an in-person conference.
