Danielle Fitzgerald

Director of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment

Danielle Fitzgerald is the Director of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment Department at the University of Gloucestershire. She is accountable for Marketing and Communications Strategy and is a member of the University Management Group. Danielle is accountable for all student recruitment at the University which includes: Widening Participation, Admissions, Postgraduate and Research as well International Recruitment.  Danielle is also accountable for corporate communications, University Brand and the University Website.

In less than 2 years at the University, Danielle has launched a new brand to market, implemented new automated e-comms, aligned International Recruitment activity and delivered growth in key areas for the University in postgraduate and international markets, as well as implementing a 2018 Clearing Campaign that saw a 20% increase in year on year recruitment while maintaining ROI at the same level.

Educated at Leeds University, Danielle has worked within HE for over 15 years. She is passionate about this industry and brings her expertise gained working across the world in complex organisations, both public and private. She successfully delivered growth for Navitas Ltd while Director of Marketing and Admissions at Curtin University Sydney, a managed campus of Curtin University (WA) in Sydney.

Her experience of all areas of the HE sector means that she is able to bring a wealth of experience in operating within complex organisational structures, with partners, agencies and recruitment agents to the fore, always doing so with professionalism, consistency and integrity.
